After a crash yesterday the fatshark 250 vtx connector  has became loose and broke off at the back. Has anyone took a go at repairing this?

Thanks

I did fix my 600mW one by scratching the coating off the track of the video(centre connection) and resoldering and then the same to the larger areas of ground resoldered with lots of solder but it was really hard to do. Good luck. :crossfingers:

Only (depressing) thing I will say is that if the tx didn';t power down at the same time as it snapping off it may have fried some of the circuitry - these transmitters need the antenna plugged in to keep component temps down.
I reverse polarities for fun.

It wasn';t powered up when I came off so I am hoping it can be saved

I did this last week Andy and have soldered it back on, now covered in hot glue for protection.

That looks fixable.   I did a similar fix to a telemetry module and it worked out fine.

It looks like it ripped off the one of the mount pads and the signal pad as well.  You';ll need to get a new edge mount female SMA connector (Fatsharks are SMA, aren';t they?).  Take the lid off the VTC and trace the signal to a point where you can attach a short piece of copper wire to replace the missing pad.

May I also suggest to use a short pigtail between the antenna and VTX, so the connector doesn';t bear the load on impact.
