ok so i usually fly 1.2 and uhf, but with the racing scene taking a massive leap forward of late i am looking to switch back to 5.8, still have my old 2.4 module for my 9xr and just ordered a rx for it. So just need a cheap 5.8 vtx of any power really that is compatible with fatshark frequencies, will still be using 1.2 when i';m not racing.

so can anyone recommend one for me? cheaper the better  ~~

These get good reviews and are cheap, 200mw though

Available in sma and rp-sma and they have them in uk warehouse.

FatShark Dominator V3 with RapidFire Module
Armattan Chameleon-BF3.5.7

TS5823 are good, but i have had a duff one with no range on it. should send it back to china but.....

aren';t we all meant to be buying 25mw vtx for racing? or is that going to be our own risk if the tv detector van man arrives one day?
Round By Round Qualifying and Finals For All.

it just makes sense

Revs

Another vote for the TS5823 200mW. Great little VTX, tiny, light and cheap.

teslahed

This set is very cheap and works for me;

http://www.banggood.com/Eachine-700TVL-13-Cmos-FPV-110-Degree-Camera-w32CH-Transmission-p-965760.html

The transmitter is especially good as it has some very nice LEDs that show you roughly what channel you are on and a single push button to channel cycle - a bit easier than dip switches.

The camera works fine and is very simple to use. However, it';s not as good as the standard Sony 600TVL camera that is so popular these days.

I will keep using the transmitter and i will replace the camera with a sony 600TVL camera that i have spare.

TS5823';s are also very good and only slightly larger.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

atomiclama

I';ve got the same as teslahed, not got good range ~150m but then I';m using cheapo ant from banggood as well.
Apart from that works well.
Wasdale X, Ow that hurt

Mmmm maybe I should look for 600mw then

Revs

I';ve flown a good few hundred meters away with the TS5823 with no loss of signal or any real degradation for that matter. That';s using Gav';s skews. I wouldn';t bother with a 600mW personally.

The main factor for range is what';s  receiving the signal,   get a diversity receiver a good clover leaf, and a panel.
I have managed near out of sight range  at 25mw, with this set up. It';s no good shouting at some one with blocked up ears. ::)
Reptile folder , alien 500 , F/ Shark Attitudes,
.Tarot 650, Air-rio Kinetic.. DX9  Various wings and planks.. Taranis x9D+..Mavic..Armattan.. Chameleion...
Massive over draught.....

Dave, I';ve been using the Aomway VTX and camera from banggood - incredible value and the VTX is a bit good, full 32-channel, including the seven FatShark/Immersion channels.    Just a shade over £20 from their UK warehouse, cheaper from further afar

And it';s got stereo audio, where the TS5823 is mono only... if you';re in to that sort of thing

forest
