I';ve had this pc ATX PSU kicking about for ages n ages, that I';ve wanted to convert into a convenient bench power supply.   Finally got round to it.

I just need to add one more post for +3.3v

Added a switch and power ON indicator L.E.D.

+12v, +12v, +5v,  -12v, GND, GND
(+3.3v to be added)

Plenty of guides out there for this cheap but handy PSU project:

Nice, can see how this would come in handy, shame I disposed of all my old pc gear.

Nice work must try it out as i must have at least 10 ATX PSU';s in the loft.

I did similar to an old psu a couple of months ago.  They are very useful.

I can';t see if you have added any protection on there?  I added inline fuses on each power connection.

Gav

No inline fuses no matey, hopefully the inbuilt protection will save my bacon for the odd brief short.  Will try not to do that though :)

Nice Job :)

I use a PC PSU ,but mine is just a bunch of wires ganged together Bruce style:
