Hello

Just wanted some confirmation really.

I';ve just got a new iMAX B6 Mini Charger (with WiFi just because), I also got the SkyRC power supply. The charger is rated at 6A (60W), but the supply is only 4A (60W).

Am I right in thinking that even though the charger can do 6A, because I have a lower rated charger I can only charge at 4A?
Or with the extra voltages magically make up the difference

Many Thanks

The PSU will be fine as long as you don';t draw more than 4A from it.  This means you could charge a single 4000mAh LiPo at 1C.  For bigger packs you';d have to reduce the charge current, which in turn will take longer to charge.

I';m not familiar with the PSU regarding its quality, but if you constantly ran it at capacity it would diminish its life time.  It';s better to have a surplus of amps on the power supply.

That';s what I thought, thanks

I';ve got 6000mAH and 3300mAH lipos, so I shall use my new charger for my smaller ones, and continue to use my original charger for my big ones :-)
