Just a quick show n tell of new quad I have built up.

I had a set of 4 RC timer 12A ESC';s so had to make something for them.

It is a Banggood frame LS-250 http://www.banggood.com/LS-250-Cicada-2500mm-FPV-Quadcopter-Fiberglass-Folding-Frame-Kit-p-954297.html
You can get a CF version too for an extra 6 pounds roughly.  The baseplate has an inbuilt power distribution copper tracks and so little pads to solder to.  Some have complained that the board delaminates and coppertrack pads come off - oh well it';s only a cheap frame and won';t be long before a smash up anyway.

Motors are DYS BE1806 2300KV at £6.60 ea
CC3D Flight Controller £10.00
200mw mini 32ch transmitter
FrSky V8R-ii RC receiver
5x4 GF bangood props
fpv cam - I think it is a 700 TVL but may swap to a SONY 600 or 650TVL WDR depending on how I get on with the 700.
1750mAh Rhino lipo that should give a good 5 min+ flight time - see how that goes

457g AUW

There is a cute little platform on rubber mounts for an underslung Mobius, but I have done away with that and used the rubber mount holes to poke wires through.

Bit of fun anyway.  Some pics:

That looks quite nice.

the arms look pretty thick too (wonder what the CF arms are like)
Not much kit, but what I have I like

the arms are kind of recessed so not as thick as the edge profile suggests.  Also at the neck of the arm - real close to the frame, there is a cut out on one edge to allow motor wires through.  This is a real weak point if you manage to tumble or hit hard on the arm - probably will snap.  CF one would hold up though.

It';s kinda designed for the arms to fold back for travel but you have to remove one bolt and position the esc';s such that there is enough flex in the wires.  I chose not to bother making it foldable as my esc';s were too big.

Was an enjoyable quick build though.

I looked at that frame, but because of the recessed arms i gave it a miss

Like the guy in the video may be worth running some decent glue round the inside of the recess to stop the arms splitting out

Nice and tidy build there Gav, I look forward to seeing some FPV flight video from it  ~~

I am no hard core 250 flyer but I am liking this little beauty  - hope I can get a bunch of enjoyable flights out of it before anything untoward happens
