I';m currently building one myself with a 3D printed support and base, requiring only a PCB/copper plate, SMA connectors/pigtail and a bit of spare twin and earth wire.

This is it today, the coil has been built using the wire forming tool (the long blue tube), and mounted into the coil support. The copper/PCB needs to be cut into a circle that will mount in the slot at the base of the coil support, and the two half circle base plates complete the protection.  It is simply glued together when assembled.

I have signed up under my spouse';s name I apologize if this is wrong but he is the RC Flyer.  I have been exhaustively scouring the internet to no avail trying to find a decent 3d printed helical antenna with side supports. I stumbled on this  version  through youtube videos and various links bringing me to Teslahed, Biffa, and HandOns links. Can one of you kindly share the stl file with me we just got a 3d printer and like to make it for him as a gift.  Please Pm me if you can as he doesn';t check this email.

Just for good order, the zip file of the print files is attached. It expands into a directory/folder containing various files.

Wow thank you so much Danny,I';m sure he';s going to love building this helical antenna, I will have it printed out hopefully today and see if i can add a picture of it here for you to see.
It will all come out when i tell him where i got the file and I';m sure he will post a thank you himself.
Again I can';t thank you enough you have just my my day.

You are welcome, good luck with the build.  The wire I used was the bare earth wire from a length of 20 amp twin and earth cable I had laying around.  The wire former is ideal for shaping the wire. Looking forward to seeing the build :-)
