Ok, My other was bought 2nd hand and has a KK2 board, but decided to build one, Frame, Motors and ESC`s all from Phil ( makeitbuildit, and  :beer2: for prompt deliveries   ) and a CC3D from Banggod UK.

And thanks to HandsOn, for pointing me to his Thread, as the cable colours were doing my head in lol, but TX has calibrated ok, all motors going the right way  ~~ but will have to get some Nylocs for the Props before a proper maiden.

started and couldnt stop. so straight to bed after this post lol, but heres a few pics during building.

Nice and tidy,

I would put the LEDs on the bottom of the arms so that you can see them while in the air.

Friskle

Nah, same as my other, they light up the front props nicely, i prefer that, plus they only tend to get used for low flying :)

Personally I';ve had it with nylon lock nuts. If you lose both blades in a crash it';s a pain to get them off. Suppose if your only going half a turn into the nylon it';s not a problem but on my motors it was a real pain. Just went to normal nuts and fingers crossed not lost one yet

Yea, thinking about it, may just go for some more props, that fit using the small plate, as i do like the T-motor prop set up on my 650.

not to windy today, so hopefully if i get a break in the wet stuff, i can test it :)

You could use a second, thin nut to lock down the first nut. Just need two spanners to mount/remove them.

Called Half nuts  ~~

I use nyloc nuts on my Goldies and they are no trouble. Fine for 5x3 props that I use and fit prefectly.

@Friskle - that is a lovely tidy build there fella. Looks really neat. Looking forward to your thoughts on how you like its flight.  I absolutely love mine, don';t use it often enough, but always feel safe and sure with it.

Regarding the prop nuts.  On my first build using the BE1806 motors I got them all with CW prop mounts and so found  myself a supplier of gold anodised nyloc nuts which look the dogs on these motors. The anodising is a complete colour match! Result ~~

Subsequently, I ordered up several CCW mounts from MyRCMart (see http://www.myrcmart.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=be1806&osCsid=lg56gfm5b13s1745be48u1f4k6&x=0&y=0 ) which get around the issues of nuts spinning off in flight.  They work really well, as do this kind of stuff on other motors.  Cheap as chips at USD 1.99 a set I picked up a tenner';s worth the last time I ordered.

I can recommend MyRCMart for good prices and speedy deliveries - just as long as you';re not in a rush for stuff. Allow a couple of weeks and you won';t be disappointed.

If I can recommend one change to that build - stick on a set of EMax 5030 CF props from Phil.  They';re a bit good, I think. Make a lovely buzzzzzz in flight

Looks great, well done.  ~~
I hate that lower void on the frame as it';s never big enough to get anything in without  modifications, why don';t  they just make it a bigger more useful distance to begin with.

Feed for the LED`s are direct to the PCB.

I found the Gap quite enough, and it makes it better for holding the ESC`s in without much double sided stuff, stops it all rattling about lol :)

Maybe the gap I have is narrower as my esc would have been crushed the esc is 2mm thicker than the gap I have.
Not the best design but it was cheap I guess
