Looking for some good quality red and white LED lights for my QAV clone, Can anyone point me in the right direction and what is the best way of powering them?

Cheers

Maplins also sell something like this if you are in a hurry and there is one local to you.  You can buy it individually or a whole roll of them.  Can';t recall the price as it was with a lot of other stuff, though I bet it';s more expensive!

I always forget about Maplins down the road lol.
Think I';ll have a look in there first as they don';t seem to expensive for a 5cm strip.

You';ll have to request the LED strip at the parts desk, they are not on the shelf.  It';s like the ';special stuff'; from Hillary Briss.  (+1 if you get the reference LOL)

They do sell packs off of the shelf, but about 10m of the stuff!

That';s what I said!  :whistling: At certain angles at height BOTH APPEAR VISIBLE TOGETHER AS ONE!!!  :frantic:  :help:  :frantic: Then you get a sun glint in your eye to make it worse!  :banghead:

I got these as they claim to be able to run off 4 cells without burning up;

So far i have just fitted a single red strip to the back of my miniquad;

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

I';ve been using the standard 3m backed strip led';s off 4S on my commercial copter for a couple of years with no issues and nothing burned out.  Nice and bright that';s for sure :)

Er, pass!  I';ll check my ebay history!

Here you go: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-5630-5050-3528-SMD-Flexible-LED-Strips-Strip-Light-Waterproof-/161230174915?var=&hash=item0

I took a pin-drill through both solder tabs on the strip to make a neat connection for the power wires on the other side of the frame, from my PDB,  not quite QAV, but more QED!
