Hi Guys

Can anyone point me in the dicerction of a step by step video for a gimbal set up on the the above set up AIO Pro on APM planner.

Im pretty hands on but the whole software side of it does confuse me a little.. More than happy to listen and learn..

Ive got a Gopro Hero 3 giving me great result i just need a gimbal to get it 100%.

Thanks in advance guys..James

Edited: As answer was for APM

In Mission planner you can pretty much set any outputs for pitch and roll anyway.

Settings are for servo limits and max and min angles..  I found it was trial and error to get this right.. not wide enough of an angle and it was too slow..  too narrow and didn';t move enough.. then just played with min max to get it level.  There is probably a more scientific way.. but that';s what worked for me... servo limits to stop the gimbal binding etc

How do you activate pin 44 and 45?? i have plugged my servo lead onto these ports (44,45) but nothin.

Craig could you do me a blow by blow or has anyone done a video?  Thank you for your help again.

Sorry  my original reply was for APM..  you have to do a bit more for MPNG on the Crius
You have to change this values in the Mission Planner --> Advance Param List
CAM_P_FUNCTION 7
CAM_R_FUNCTION 8
MNT_MODE 2
MNT_STAB_PITCH 1
MNT_STAB_ROLL 1
If you need roll reversed --> setting cam_r_rev to-1
Check MissionPlanner';s ArduCopter Config screen has the "CH6 Opt" set to CH6_NONE.
Once you have done this, you can then user Hardware > Gimbal to set limited and angles
Havent seen any video';s sorry...

Have you removed all of the 5V wires from the ESC';s ? .. if so suggest you put one back in.. don';t think there is any 5V on the Gimbal outputs unless you do
(Notice you are powering the board with a UBEC and JP1 is removed)

Hi

Thanks for the reply!!

I didn';t build the hex but yes all the red wires off the ESC have been cut!!

Should I reconnect one of them or all.. ??

Jumpy07

Just connect one of the 5v red wires back into the plug.
Don';t put the jumper back on..
That way the BEC in the ESC';s will power the Gimbal .. and will keep the noisy stuff on one side

Nano71

Wouldn';t it be nicer and more user friendly for newbies,... if crius aio pro would be supported in next releases of arducoptermegaplanner ?  :crossfingers:

Gaza07

Hi Nano71 and welcome to the forum  ~~ I doubt you will ever see direct support for the AIOP in the mission planner as its running a ported version of arducopter  :beer2:

Hello. I solved the problem as following. Roll Servo to Pin 11.  Pitch Servo to Pin 12. Then go to Mission Planer and set the Roll to RC-10 and the Till to RC-11. It works.
