Help with troubleshooting F550

Hi all,

I';m stuck and hoping someone can help.

I have a F550 which had been flying just great - stable, responsive etc. I then had an unexplained crash where it just went down (fortunately in soft ground with lots of grass) for no apparent reason.

I was later able to fly it just fine (for a short-time) but now it has developed the following problem.

It will briefly fly level and allow me to raise and lower without issue - albeit somewhat drifty....
Then shortly after starting it does not want to maintain altitude - even with left stick full up it sinks to the ground.

I have calibrated it, reset and restored the NAZA settings etc but am not able to get past this issue and do not know how to even troubleshoot without simply starting to buy new components.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any suggestions.

I would be most grateful.

Have you checked that the settings in Assistant haven';t changed?  Are you using the low voltage alarm, has this changed?  Faulty battery?  All connections secure?

Chami82923

Sounds like a battery voltage monitor issue to me, what';s the led module doing just before it descends?

Disable the voltage monitor in the naza assistant, just be carefull, if your battery gets to low your copter will fall out the sky! I time my flights to avoid this.

those symptoms are exactly the same as a faulty battery, or a battery losing power to quickly, i would first make sure the battery and all connections are good.

Thanks all for the feedback - will take a close look at the battery connections etc.
