How to activate Go Pro?

Hi fellas, I';m hoping someone can help with this issue, because if not, then I';m stumped. I have the GoPro 4 black edition with the H3-3D Zenmuse and Naza M v2. I understand, through chatting on the forum, along with researching elsewhere, that using the GoPro radio shutter release/controller is a no no, due to it being on 2.4Ghz, the same as my Spektrum DX9. The risk, as far as I';m concerned, may be small, but I';m not prepared to take the chance of any issues. Soooo, can anyone offer any suggestions that will allow me to switch on and off the video and also activate the shutter to take photos? I know some may be quite happy switching on the camera at the start of the flight and then switching it off at the end, but for anyone who is actually shooting video commercially, this is far from an ideal solution. Any advice would be very welcome, thanks guys.

would it not be safer to setup the Gopro to record video and take still pics at a set interval????

There must be a way via the connector on the back.  But the h33d covers it.
